Our Redeemer's will return to our regular start time of 

10:30am, on Sunday, February 3.

There is also a potluck after worship.

Our Redeemers and Trinity will switch worship times on Sunday, January 27, 2019 so Trinity can have the late service and enjoy a potluck meal after their Annual Meeting.

In February, O.R. will return to the 10:30 worship schedule.

OR will have a potluck on February 3rd after worship.

POTLUCK after worship at Our Redeemer's.  

Bring a friend. 

Bring a dish. 

Bring yourself!

Enjoy the fellowship of your friends and neighbors.  

There is always enough to go around. 

February Cancellations

Due to the Annual Meeting potluck, there will not be a "First-Sunday Potluck" in February.  

Coffee & Rolls will be served on the third Sunday in February.

Also, Women's Bible Study at Darlene's will not meet in February.

O.R. Annual Meeting Jan 21. Worship at 10:30am.

Due to our Annual Meeting being held on January 21st, Our Redeemer's will switch worship times with Trinity for that Sunday only.  This allows Pastor Mike to attend the meeting rather than having to immediately leave for the Trinity service.

So on January 21, Our Redeemer's will start worship at 10:30am. 
The meeting will begin immediately following worship.  (It is usually short.)
As soon as the meeting adjourns we serve a potluck meal.

Attendance at the Annual Meeting includes all people that worship at O.R.
Please join us and let us share a meal together.

Sunday, Jan 7- Rolls and Coffee Served. No Potluck.

Due to our Annual Meeting being held on January 21st, 

First-Sunday Potluck and Third-Sunday Rolls dates will be switched.

Rolls and coffee will be served tomorrow, January 7th after 9am worship.  (Thanks to Debbie W and Karen K for baking.)

Potluck will take place immediately following worship and our Annual Meeting on January 21st.

Linus this TUESDAY 10/17

Sewing enthusiasts of the parish...

      It has been suggested that we change our 

Project Linus Day to the 3rd Tuesday of the month.

 

So lets try meeting on :

Tuesday, October 17th at 9 AM to 3 PM.

Pot Luck Lunch as usual.

Hopefully this day will work for a few more people.

Even if you can’t come for the whole day, come for

coffee, or lunch and say  “Hello!”

First Communion

On Sunday, May 7th, Our Redeemer's celebrated the First Communion of two wonderful young people in our congregation: 

Whitney and Dalton.

The congregation celebrated with a potluck feast after the service.

Annual Meetings

The Our Redeemer's Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 29, immediately following the worship service.

This meeting is usually fairly short.  The two main objectives are for the congregation to vote on the budget set by the Council, and to consider for election the nominees to the Council. 

After the meeting, the congregation is invited to join in a potluck meal.  This year, we will also celebrate the mortgage for our church remodeling project being paid in full.  We have paid off this debt ahead of schedule thanks to the hard work, generous donations, and solid commitment of our church family members.  Thank you to everyone that contributed toward the project which fixed our building, drainage issues, and added a handicap accessible restroom.

Please also remember that Trinity Lutheran in Debs will hold their Annual Meeting on Sunday, January 22.  To allow the Pastor to attend that meeting, 

Our Redeemer's will worship at 9am on Jan 22.

Worship Time Change

Sunday, September 4, Our Redeemer's will begin worshiping at 10:30am.  

Trinity Lutheran in Debs will worship at 9am.  

We will keep this schedule for the next year.

Potluck in July

There will be a potluck meal after worship on Sunday, July 3rd.

Our Redeemer's holds a potluck meal the first Sunday of every month.

Everyone is welcome to join in the feast.  

We always have enough to share!

Annual Meeting

Our Redeemer's will hold its Annual Meeting after worship on Sunday January 17th.

For January 17th only, O.R. will worship at 10:30am so Pastor Mike can stay to the meeting.  

Trinity will worship at 9am on Jan17th.  

Everyone is encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting.  Potluck will be held immediately after the meeting.  Since Potluck will take place on Jan 17th, there won't be Potluck on our regular "first Sunday" January 3rd.

Please note, the newest member of the Naylor family will be baptized on January 3rd.  

There will be a reception after worship to celebrate the baptism.

Easter Sunday Service

Our Redeemer's will be serving rolls, coffee & juice at 9:30am on Easter Sunday morning.

Worship begins at 10:30am.

No potluck this first Sunday of the month because of the holiday.

Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting will be immediately after worship service this Sunday, Jan 18th.

Everyone that attends O.R. or considers themselves a member may vote.  Our church is made strong by each and every person that feels led to participate!
The budget will be reviewed for approval and two nominees will be available to install on the Church Council.

There will be a potluck meal served after the meeting.

Important Dates

NO POTLUCK this Sunday, January 4th!

Our Redeemer will hold its Annual Meeting after worship service on Sunday, January 18th.  There will be a potluck meal served immediately after the meeting.

Please join us January 18th for the Annual Meeting.  A brief review of the year will be presented.  The budget for 2015 will be presented and the church Council will be elected.  The new rough draft for the Church Directory will be available for review and corrections.

EVERY PERSON that attends Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or feels they are members of this congregation are welcome to attend the Annual Meeting and vote.

January 25, 2015, worship service will be at 9AM to allow Trinity Lutheran in Debs to have the later service on their Annual Meeting day.

Our Redeemer's Autumn

Please join us Sunday, October 5th, for a potluck meal after 10:30am worship service.

Community Breakfast will be served at 9:15am next Sunday, October 12th.

Several Announcements

August was a busy month for our Parish and September looks almost as busy....

The Announcements Page has been updated so please take a look so you don't miss any of the community events coming up soon.  The Lake Julia Dinner Cruise is scheduled for this Sat. Sept 6th!

The two churches in our parish will switch start times on September 7th.

That means for the next year, Trinity will start at 9:00am and Our Redeemer's will start at 10:30am.

There will be potluck after worship service at Our Redeemer's this coming Sunday, Sept 7th.

Last, but not least, Our Redeemer's is in need of volunteers to sign up for the work schedule.  Please add your name to the chart posted in the narthex.  We need volunteers to greet worshipers and prepare communion, read scripture, teach Sunday school, and clean the church.

Thank you to all the volunteers that helped make this past summer and busy August such a successful and enjoyable time of gathering at Our Redeemer's.  Every gift of time and help is a blessing to us all!
